Saturday TV Ratings 7/25/20: MLB Leads, NBA Countdown Low, SNL Vintage Steady (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: Just like Friday, Fox was able to beat out the other networks with the help of a sports broadcast. 'MLB: Yankees vs. Nationals' garnered a healthy 0.6 rating and doubled its strongest competitor. Considering a 0.5 A18-49 rating was enough for a series to be the night's top program on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (7/22-7/24), this slightly stronger result comes as a refreshing turn of events.

NBC was the closet to competing with the baseball broadcast by offering encores of 'Dateline' (0.3) and 'SNL Vintage' (0.3). CBS started the night with meager encores of 'Magnum PI' (0.2) and 'NCIS: New Orleans' (0.2) but got a tiny bit stronger with a 10pm '48 Hours' repeat (0.3). ABC was far behind the rest with CW-level numbers for an 'NBA Countdown' special (0.1) and a 'Good Doctor' repeat (0.1).

Finals Update: MLB: Yankees v. Nationals (+0.1) adjusted up.
