Stumptown Canceled, Reversing Prior Renewal

Even with the show's prior renewal, Cobie Smulders' Dex Parios won't be appearing on ABC next season, as Stumptown has been canceled after one season. It's said that the show's big delays in production due to the COVID-19 pandemic spurred the decision. It will instead be shopped to other networks. Despite heavy promotion, the show was one of the lowest-rated scripted programs on the network this season. It premiered to a so-so 0.7 and went as low as 0.4 in its eighteen episodes. Despite this, Stumptown was a solid performer in delayed and streaming viewing, which put the show on the bubble. In the end, that wasn't enough to save it. Alongside Smulders, the show features Camryn Manheim, Jake Johnson, Michael Ealy, and Tantoo Cardinal in main roles. You can find the ratings for Stumptown here.
