HBO's acclaimed late night comedy program Last Week Tonight, hosted by John Oliver, has been picked up for three more seasons. This pickup will keep it on the air through a tenth season in 2023. This is not an unusual length for a pickup for the show - when it was last renewed in 2017, the pickup was also for three seasons, which brought it through the current seventh season. Over the course of its run, Last Week Tonight has amassed sixteen Emmy victories and it's nominated for a further nine awards this year alone. Oliver's show debuted in 2014 and aired over two hundred episodes, and has been a strong ratings performer since. This season, the show averaged a 0.22, larger than just about every show that has aired before it and making it one of HBO's highest-rated shows. You can see the full ratings for season seven below:
