Tuesday TV Ratings 9/1/20: Transplant Off to a Weak Start, NBA Playoff Game Leads (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: Despite many believing NBA ratings are declining due to social activism, the 'Jazz vs. Nuggets' game (1.0) provided ABC a clear win on a fairly quiet Tuesday evening. The countdown special right before it (0.5) still outperformed the sitcom repeats that would normally occupy the slot.

In a fairly close second place, NBC's 'America's Got Talent' (0.7) held even but continued to trail the mid-1s it was pulling in June. 'AGT' was followed by the series premiere of 'Transplant' (0.4) which received very little attention and fell several ticks behind the average 'World of Dance'.

CBS's 'Love Island' (0.4) managed to gain a tenth despite being sandwiched between 'NCIS' (0.5) and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.3) repeats. Fox had meager 'Hell's Kitchen' (0.3) and 'Prodigal Son' (0.2) encores. And the CW was stable with both 'Dead Pixels' (0.1) and 'Tell Me a Story' (0.1) but fell into that dreaded 0.0 territory with a 'Pixels' repeat in-between.

Finals Update: America's Got Talent (+0.1) and NBA Playoffs: Jazz v. Nuggets (+0.2) adjusted up.
