Preliminary Analysis: As the summer television season slowly begins to wind down, ABC bid adieu to sorely mistreated 'What Would You Do?' (0.3/0.3) with a 2-hour finale event. The John Quiñones program shed a tenth from its previous episode but had very little help from the pair of 'Modern Family' repeats (0.3/0.3) that came before it.
NBC's fading juggernaut 'America's Got Talent' (0.7) lost a tenth from its last installment but remained unchallenged as the night's top performer. Lead-out drama 'Transplant' (0.4) actually managed to hold steady with last week's premiere, making it look marginally more impressive than a week prior.
CBS had a flat 'Love Island' (0.3) at 9pm that led out of an 'NCIS' repeat (0.4) and into a 'FBI: Most Wanted' encore (0.2). Fox had a sturdy 'Hell's Kitchen' repeat (0.4) but received little traction from a NFL preview special (0.2). At the very least, it was a tenth above Sunday's special. Let's hope these numbers are not indicative of what's to come for football ratings. The CW was even across the board with 'Dead Pixels' (0.1) and 'Tell Me a Story' (0.1). A 'Dead Pixels' (0.1) repeat bridged the gap between the two.
