Friday TV Ratings 9/18/20: World’s Funniest Animals Starts Stronger Than Being Reuben, WWE SmackDown and Love Island Slip (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: The CW ditched 'Being Rueben' in favor of the series premiere of 'World's Funniest Animals' (0.1/0.1). It performed better than the 0.0 A18-49 rating that 'Rueben' consistently pulled but that's a very low bar to clear. Nonetheless, an improvement is an improvement. The CW began their evening with a 'Masters of Illusion' original and a repeat (0.1/0.1).

Fox's 'WWE Smackdown' (0.5) shed a tenth from last week and matched ABC's '20/20' (0.5) for the night's top broadcast. A repeat of 'Shark Tank' (0.4) started the alphabet network's night. On CBS, 'Love Island' (0.3) took a disheartening two-tenth dip from last week's stellar 0.5. It was once more sandwiched between repeats of 'MacGyver' (0.3) and 'Blue Bloods' (0.3). NBC had a low-rated repeat of 'America's Got Talent' (0.2) and a feeble 'Dateline' (0.3).

Finals Update: The repeat of America's Got Talent (+0.1) and Dateline NBC (+0.1) adjusted up.
