Preliminary Analysis: After two months of only airing repeats, ABC moved their 'Sunday Fun & Games' block to Thursdays and got very similar results out of them. 'Celebrity Family Feud', 'Press Your Luck', and 'Match Game' (0.7/0.6/0.5) were all steady with the last time they aired originals together (7/12/20) and 'Feud' rose two-tenths from Sunday's out-of-timeslot showing.
While the alphabet network game shows performed well, they still weren't strong enough to dethrone CBS's 'Big Brother' (1.1). 'Brother' lost a tenth from yesterday but was up a notch from last Thursday. It led into 'Love Island' (0.5) which inched down from its last episode. The CBS network closed out their night in shambles as the broadcast debut of 'Star Trek: Discovery' (0.2) tanked out the gate at 10pm. It's clear that all who wanted to watch it had already seen it on CBS All-Access. Over on NBC, 'The Wall' (0.4) pulled a decent number for a repeat and the 'Dateline' (0.5) that came after built from there. Fox had a repeat of 'The Masked Singer' (0.3) and a pilot encore of 'Filthy Rich' (0.3). The CW had a stable 'Mysteries Decoded' (0.1) and a 'Penn & Teller' (0.1) repeat.
Final numbers to come.
