Preliminary Analysis: Even if its dominance was much less pronounced, NBC once more topped Tuesday night with its duo of reality-competition programs. The 15th anniversary special of 'America's Got Talent' (0.8) was the night's highest-rated broadcast while 'World of Dance' (0.7) held up swimmingly at 10, remaining steady with last week even as its lead-in slipped by two-tenths.
ABC had a particularly rotten night in comparison as repeats of 'Modern Family' (0.3/0.3), 'Black-ish' (0.3), and 'Mixed-ish' (0.3) were significantly below last week's pair of 20/20 specials (0.5/0.6). That negative momentum pushed 'What Would You Do?' (0.3) two-tenths below its last original and back down to its series low.
CBS's John Lewis special (0.3) stirred little interest in the 10pm slot but still matched ABC's occupant. But repeats of 'NCIS' (0.5) and 'FBI' (0.4) before it topped the alphabet network's sitcom offerings. Fox went even lower with meager 'Hell's Kitchen' (0.3) and 'Prodigal Son' (0.2) encores. And the CW held even with 'Stargirl' (0.2) and 'Tell Me a Story' (0.1).
Finals Update: 'What Would You Do?' (0.4, +0.1) adjusted up. This puts it just a tenth below last week instead of two tenths.
