Saturday TV Ratings 8/29/20: NASCAR Easily Leads, Love Island: More to Love Abysmal (UPDATED)

There was little competition on Saturday night as NASCAR's Coke Zero Sugar 400 easily won the night with a strong 0.6 for NBC, beating its closest competition by two tenths. This rating for a Saturday race isn't too far off what original episodes of America's Got Talent, NBC's top summer show, are doing, so this is a very impressive result to say the least.

In second, being the only other network to have any meaningful quantity of people tuning in, was ABC. A Funniest Home Videos repeat at 8 was at 0.4, taking second for the night in both the 18-49 demo and in viewers. Ratings dropped as the night went along, with a Shark Tank repeat ast 9 drawing a 0.3 and a Good Doctor encore at 10 at 0.2, continuing to be the clear weak spot in this lineup.

Fox had two hours of PBC Boxing with 0.1/0.2 halves and an abysmal viewership totals. On the plus side, it's not really much worse than how the network's been doing for some of its repeats lately (such as MasterChef and Prodigal Son).

CBS had quite a night. Love Island recap show More To Love got off to a horrifying start with a 0.1 and well under a million viewers, potentially being CBS's lowest-rated airing ever. Love Island itself is an awful performer, so it's puzzling that they'd even order a recap show, but they did and at least it delivered some interesting ratings. At 10, the 48 Hours repeat dropped thanks to that abysmal lead-in, drawing a 0.2 with a notable drop in viewers, as well.

Finals Update: The repeat of 48 Hours (+0.1) adjusted up.
