CBS won the night with Big Brother, which more than doubled its closest competition (0.4s for repeats and the Dem Convention) with another 1.0. It's a weaker 1.0 this time, with a 0.9 in the first half, but that's still more than enough to make it one of this summer's top shows, only trailing America's Got Talent in season averages (and it's now easily out-rating that show). They had a 0.4 repeat of Young Sheldon after that, with a 0.3 for a Unicorn repeat. At 10, their Democratic Convention coverage was down from Wednesday to a 0.2, rating last among the big three despite having the biggest ratings to kick off the night.
ABC was stable throughout the night, with a 0.4 for their Holey Moley repeat, a 0.4 for a To Tell the Truth repeat, and a 0.4 for the Democratic National Convention, an uptick from Wednesday's preliminary number.
NBC was in repeat mode as well for the first two hours, with The Wall also drawing a 0.4 and a repeat of SVU attracting a 0.3, both steady with last week's offerings in those timeslots. At 10, their coverage of the Democratic Convention's final night took a small hit, down a tenth to a 0.3, allowing ABC to beat them outright for the first time this year. All in all, the convention was down a tenth across broadcast for the closing night.
Fox had two hours of 24 Hours to Hell and Back repeats that averaged 0.3, below last week's MLB.
The CW had a repeat of Mysteries Decoded that far outrated its original airing in viewers and doubled its original rating in viewers (well, in rounded numbers, at least). A Penn & Teller repeat was at 0.1.
Finals Update: Democratic National Convention coverage on CBS (+0.1) and the repeat of To Tell the Truth (+0.1) adjusted up. The repeat of Young Sheldon (-0.1) adjusted down.
