Below are the prime time cable news ratings for Monday, August 3 through Thursday, August 6. The most important demographic is A25-54, and A18-49 serves as the tiebreaker demo for the sake of placement on this chart. Boxes with a dash indicate the show not placing in the top 50 in the A18-49 demographic. As such, A25-54 and A18-34 ratings were not reported for those airings.

Rachel Maddow Show continued to show strength most of this week, with Wednesday’s and Thursday’s airings having more viewers than The Ingraham Angle on FOX News, plus everything else on CNN and MSNBC. The exception is Monday, where it joined All In and Last Word toward the bottom of the chart.
CNN turned to Cuomo Prime Time to fill in for Don Lemon’s CNN Tonight at 10pm this week to mixed results. Two of the 10pm portions were toward the top of CNN’s ratings this week. Still, there was often a drop-off in ratings from the 9pm edition of Cuomo Prime Time to the 10pm one, and two of CNN’s lowest ratings this week came from the 10pm portion. So while Cuomo Prime Time did a solid job at 10pm, it’s doubtful the network is eager to permanently move the show to the later hour.
CNN’s Thursday Global Town Hall once again failed to provide high ratings, this time sinking even lower on the chart than usual. While not a definite, one would have to wonder how it would do if the Anderson Cooper-hosted special was disguised as an episode of Anderson Cooper 360. Whatever the reason for the weak ratings, CNN is likely not pleased.
