What Would You Do?: Despite a decline this week to a 0.3, I'm upgrading What Would You Do? to a CERTAIN RENEWAL. Even though it's not a priority for ABC (which led to the certain renewal placement not coming sooner), it should have no trouble scoring a renewal. It's a schedule staple that draws acceptable ratings, with no reason for ABC to cancel it. It's also likely extremely cheap, much more than the network's game shows or anything scripted.

Don't: Last week, the Adam Scott-hosted freshman game show wrapped up an unremarkable run with an unremarkable datapoint. Its 0.5 finale was steady with the previous week and in-line with how it was performing after a strong start. Its retention from Holey Moley really isn't that bad, though, as that show is only performing in the 0.5-0.6 range itself. That's why Don't will end its run in the LEANS RENEWAL category. It's not a strong performer, and it's probably not going to do that well in the future, but it does acceptably enough and holds down the fort for ABC at an increasingly difficult time of the year.

Dead Pixels: Like mostly everything on the CW this year, Dead Pixels debuted to a 0.1 this week, a pitful number for an 8 PM slot, especially considering the low viewership (0.42 million viewers, a few hundred thousand less than Coroner, which airs at 9). The CW's logic for renewals and cancellations of their summer shows hasn't been clear. Taskmaster had dozens of episodes left that they could've aired, but they pulled it from the air, even with other shows performing worse for them. For that reason, the already-renewed back home Dead Pixels will start in the LEANS RENEWAL category. It might be canceled, but The CW seems rather fond of it so it'll probably be back on their schedule somewhere.
