Jess's Take: The ABC Cancelation Carnage, Plus Some Shockers

Welcome to another installment of Jess's Take! I'm Jessica, and here is my take on today's news.

ABC Adds More Shows to the Graveyard
ABC has canceled Dr. Ken, American Crime, Imaginary Mary, Secrets & Lies, The Real O'Neals, and The Catch, in addition to yesterday's shocking cancelation of Last Man Standing. This is also in addition to Time After Time, Notorious, and Conviction.

For the most part, it seems as if ABC is cleaning house, especially after the Idol revival pickup. Last Man Standing is the most shocking cancelation this season, so far, and we are still not done with figuring out which show is renewed or canceled.

Some Shocking News
Some shocking renewal news came out today. In addition to low rated drama Taken, low rated comedy Great News gets renewed for a second season on NBC. I don't know about you but it's clear that there is a significant bias on in-house studio productions. Even for an in-house production, this show should have never gotten renewed because of its ratings.

I think this shocking renewal takes the crown for all time most shocking renewal, beating out the CW's Beauty and the Beast during the 2013-14 season, and the ABC renewals of American Crime and Galavant during the 2014-15 season.

With more news still to come, expect some more surprises. And that does it on this installment. Let's discuss in the comments below!
