Ratings Analysis: ABC said farewell to their summer lineup, with the finales of Press Your Luck (0.43) and Generation Gap (0.32, -0.02). Luck was fully steady after its week off, while Generation Gap was up two hundredths for its finale, slightly rebounding from its series low. They capped off the night with a low-rated special from the ABC News Truth & Lies series, titled Crocodile of Wall Street. The special drew only a 0.21, below every episode of The Con this season. CBS's perennial nightly leader, Big Brother (0.70), dropped a bit from its Wednesday broadcast (0.75), but rose from its two-hour airing the previous week (0.67). Big Brother was preceded by encores of Young Sheldon (0.29) and Ghosts (0.23) and succeeded by a repeat of CSI: Vegas (0.20). Fox aired a below-average MLB game (-0.34), a far cry from what they'd be getting in this slot if they'd not lost Thursday Night Football to Amazon. The CW continued its bizarre blend of originals and repeats, with Bump (0.03) flatlining even further, Great Chocolate Showdown (0.05) remaining their top show of the night, and a Whose Line? encore (0.04) rating in the middle of the two. NBC had their final Law & Order franchise repeats of the summer (0.21/0.27/0.21) heading into next week's crossover premieres.
Finals Update: MLB Regional Coverage (-0.1) and repeats of Law & Order (-0.2), Law & Order: SVU (-0.1), and Law & Order: Organized Crime (-0.2) adjusted down.
