Ratings Analysis: NBC's three-hour crossover premiere did wonders for the ratings of the 'Law & Order' trio and put the network in a virtual tie with Fox's 'MLB: Regional Coverage' (0.64). The night began with 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' (0.62) soaring to its highest rating since December 2021 and actually beating out its year-ago premiere (0.60). At 9, 'SVU' (0.69) was only a tenth below last year's start (0.79) and posted its highest 2022 rating yet. The original 'Law & Order' (0.60) exceled in the 10PM hour and went well above every episode from the spring outside of its premiere (0.74). On ABC, the season finale of 'Celebrity Family Feud' (0.45, -0.02) dipped by two-hundredths and led into a middling special about TV legend Norman Lear (0.29). CBS juggernaut 'Big Brother' (0.62, -0.08) lost eight-hundredths on a week-to-week basis and was followed by a feeble pair of 'Ghosts' reruns (0.19/0.14). Earlier in the night, encores of 'Young Sheldon' (0.36/0.35) performed significantly better than 'Ghosts'. The CW went with 'Bump' (0.04), a rerun of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.03), and 'Great Chocolate Showdown' (0.06).
Finals Update: The 8PM repeat of 'Young Sheldon' (+0.1) adjusted up. 'Law & Order' (-0.1) and 'Norman Lear: 100 Years of Music and Laughter' (-0.1) adjusted down.
