Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist: This week, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist aired its final episode in the Tuesday at 8 slot ahead of its late March move to Sunday. It rose a bit to a 0.43, which is still not very strong, but isn't much different than previous episodes. It's not a rating that leads me to think any differently of its renewal odds. In fact, the continued support for the show from NBC leads me to be more and more confident in a renewal for the show. I'm waiting to see how it does on Sundays before I upgrade it, but fans of the show shouldn't be too concerned about the show as long as it keeps up its strong digital ratings. It LEANS RENEWAL.
Mr. Mayor: Even with less competition, Mr. Mayor slipped in the ratings last week to a 0.51, from a 0.56. That ties its lowest rating, but is still not a weak rating considering the state of NBC comedy right now, and broadcast comedy in general. With Brooklyn Nine-Nine being announced as ending, it feels like NBC may be looking for newer comedies to fill their lineup. When considering both its ratings and the number of comedies that are already ending on NBC, this one feels like a safe bet to return. It's still a LIKELY RENEWAL.
