For Life: A show that once showed such promise has slumped majorly this season, even if it's escaped attention from me. There's been little discussion from me about For Life in the ABC Renew/Cancel this year, because its performance has been more-or-less the same throughout the season. 0.3-0.4 has been its constant rating all season. In the past two weeks, however, its performance has been notably weak, even for it. It slipped below the 0.30 mark, drawing a 0.26 (which works out to a heavily-rounded 0.3 in rounded ratings). This is the worst that it's every performed, and it makes it the single-weakest 10 PM series on ABC at the moment. Even repeats of The Good Doctor were rating well over a tenth ahead of that in those two weeks. Its decline makes sense, as new lead-in Call Your Mother is both incompatible and low-rated. However, that doesn't mean it's excusable. It's hard to imagine a show rating at 0.26 is renewable, especially when ABC seems to not care a ton about it. Not only is it capped at just ten episodes this season, it's also being forced to air behind repeats this week. That's not how you treat a show that you see a lengthy future with. There aren't many signs pointing towards renewal here, and I'm downgrading it to a LIKELY CANCELLATION.
