FADE IN:
EXT. MANHATTAN SKYLINE - DAY
An urban area is situated in Staten Island in the middle of New York City.
EXT. NETWORK HEADQUARTERS - DAY
Network headquarters is positioned in the heart of New York City, where traffic is bustling through the morning sky.
Pedestrians are walking back and forth, seemingly to get to work.
INT. BUSINESS HALLWAY - DAY
Today happens to be the presentation with the critics for RGO (yes, we revealed that in a Writer’s Block episode).
Executives back and forth are walking to and fro to their offices.
INT. GREEN ROOM - DAY
Snacks are provided in the green room on the table.
We see Leah adjusting Ash’s suit while Kasey sits on the couch.
Jesse comes into the green room with the cue cards.
ASH
I’ll take those!
After Jesse hands the cards to Ash, he sits in the opposite couch.
Kasey turns her head towards Jesse.
KASEY
So, you are holding up there?
JESSE
I’m good, thanks for asking.
Jesse then turns his attention towards Ash.
JESSE (CONT’D)
A little over-prepared for that one. There are answers for every hypothetical controversy with shows.
ASH
I appreciate that, but there is no controversy with any show.
Charlie then enters the scene.
She is holding cue cards. She then hands them to Ash.
CHARLIE
Some alternates, in case things go wrong.
ASH
More? Okay, it’s my cue to go.
LEAH
Keep me posted, dear!
Leah then hugs Ash goodbye.
Ash exits the scene.
She then turns to Charlie, Kasey, and Jesse.
LEAH (CONT'D)
Separate yourselves.
Charlie then exits the green room to head to the conference room.
Leah then grabs her phone.
LEAH (CONT'D)
Time to check the feeds.
Charlie then returns with Matt and Holly, who present a united front.
They sit with Jesse on the couch across from Kasey.
Holly then gives a stern look to Kasey
She then crosses her arms.
HOLLY
I did not appreciate you getting so comfortable with my husband as it appeared. But Matt told me what happened.
MATT
Kasey wanted Jesse to be jealous.
Taken aback, Kasey shot a look of disgust at Matt.
KASEY
Why would my ex be jealous? We broke up, remember?
Jesse sighs.
Matt shakes his head.
HOLLY
It didn’t even work. By the way, Jesse and I had lunch.
JESSE
Nothing happened.
MATT
I convinced Holly to have lunch with him. Just like Holly convinced me in making sure Kasey was okay.
Charlie then turns around to look at Matt.
CHARLIE
Matt, I saw you two laughing. Holding hands. Carrying on.
HOLLY
Well, you’re not lying about that.
Jesse then turns towards Kasey.
Kasey then looks at Jesse.
KASEY
Ezra needs you.
JESSE
I get that.
Kasey sighs.
KASEY
Wanna drive me home?
Charlie then looks at Kasey in shock.
KASEY (CONT’D)
I just wanted to have a conversation.
CHARLIE
Okay, this is not happening.
On the next Network, it’s the moment of truth between Kasey and Jesse. Will they get back together?
