Despite The Originals getting higher A18-49 Plus ratings than previously canceled shows, this may be tied as the most controversial prediction in Renew/Cancel history (with ABC's Dr. Ken, after last night's 0.7 for its season finale, possibly moving back to cancelation territory). The Watching prediction returns in full force, and I did not expect to use this after my last minute push on Crazy Ex. The Originals got a 0.4 in week 3, and I must assess the situation.

Currently in season 4, The Originals is at the 70-80 episode mark where low rated shows typically get canceled. However, this is a different season. It's at the CW scripted median and the entire network is down double digits year to year. Considering the ratings climate, it's a stronger show compared to previous shows Nikita, Hart of Dixie, Beauty and the Beast, and Reign (currently airing its final season).

For now, I increased my percentage chances for the show to 50%. This means it may be time for a poll. As they say in Chicago, vote early and vote often!
