Wednesday night saw the final episodes of 2016 for many shows. Survivor ended its season up from last week, significantly improving the CBS average for the week. On Fox, they aired the Star series premiere out of Empire's special 8 PM airing, and both did decent. On ABC, all of their shows that faced Hairspray Live! were up from last week. Modern Family, however, hit a series low. NBC aired holiday programming, and received a 1.4 for the Pentatonix special, and a 1.5 for the annual SNL special. The CW aired filler, with a Christmas Movie countdown and a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show repeat both bringing in 0.3s.
Finals Update: Survivor (-0.1) and its Reunion episode (-0.1) adjusted down. SNL Christmas adjusted up (+0.1).
