S2E6 "Who Needs Josh When You Have a Girl Group?"
The episode has a hilarious start, with Trent back in town, buying a lot of surfing things. He reveals that he plans on infiltrating a group of friends to get to Rebecca. At work, Rebecca thinks that Paula feels excluded with the girl group. Trent meets Josh again, and it is a pretty funny scene. Paula talks to Sunil, who has a hilarious line about his wife posting about her suicide on Facebook.
It is hilarious when Trent meets White Josh and Hector, and it is really funny when he has to explain how he knew their names. Rebecca attempts to surprise the friends what Karen had suggested, but it turns out instead of Karen's friend showing up, Karen showed up. Karen is very funny in her strangeness.
Josh, White Josh, and Hector give up on Trent. Rebecca discovers texts Paula sent, and Valencia is really funny when she doesn't know how to react to this. The girl from the surf shop meets Trent again, and encourages him to go after Rebecca. Sunil shows up, and hilariously recites a lie in an attempt to help Paula.
Darryl tells Maya that he is mean to her because she reminds him of himself, which is a great moment in understanding Darryl. Rebecca and Paula argue about who abandoned the friendship, which is a great, intense conversation that shows the two sides of the story. There is also a funny recurring line about how the firemen aren't showing up. Darryl and Maya are hilarious when they teach their dance to the people at work. It's also funny when Trent reveals that he was a virgin before he and Rebecca had sex.
Here are my thoughts on the songs of the episode...
Friendtopia: This song is hilarious. Each of the three girls has hilarious lines in the song. This song is going to be a favorite of mine.
The Trent is Getting Ready Song: This was a hilarious callback to The Sexy Getting Ready Song, which was great fun.
Stuck in the Bathroom: This song wasn't very funny, and very little was accomplished during how long the song went on.
This was a strong episode. It had many funny moments with Trent, and then it was great and deep with Darryl and with Rebecca and Paula's friendship.
Score: 9.5/10
