Hello and welcome to our coverage of the 2016 elections! I hope you all voted, and if you did, I thank you. The main contest on everyone's mind is the presidential election, but we'll also cover races for the Senate and for Governorships.
Below you can find a map of when he polls close in each state, courtesy of Daily Kos.
Electoral College: Donald Trump has won the presidency with 279 Electoral Votes.
Senate: Republicans will hold their majority in the Senate.
Governorships: Democrats hold their seat in Delaware, Republicans hold North Dakota.
House: NBC News projects that Republicans will HOLD their control of the House.
In the New Hampshire Senate race between Democratic Governor Maggie Hassan and Incumbent Republican Kelly Ayotte, Hassan is the winner. New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner has declared Hassan victorious. Update: Ayotte has conceded to Hassan.
Races Called After 11/8:
Michigan has been called for Trump.
Arizona has been called for Trump.
New Hampshire has been called for Clinton.
McCrory has conceded to Cooper in the NC gubernatorial race.
Louisiana Senate Runoff:
GOP candidate John N. Kennedy has defeated Democrat Foster Campbell in an expected victory.
*- Includes Senators Angus King (I-VT) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) as Dems.
Note: California's Senate race is between Democrats Kamala Harris and Loretta Sanchez. Kamala Harris won the election in a landslide.
Note 2: Louisiana has a Run-Off system in place, so it will remain in tan on the Senate map until the Run-Off takes place in December.
