USA! That's what CBS is chanting today, as they have renewed freshman comedy United States of Al for a second season. The series debuted in early April and has been a so-so performer for CBS thus far, averaging 0.57 behind TV's #1 comedy Young Sheldon. That trails B Positive's returns in that slot (though Sheldon was stronger when B Positive aired there), as well as lead-out comedy Mom. However, the show comes from Chuck Lorre, one of CBS's favorite collaborators, and never flat-out bombed, which helped them make the decision to give it another chance. The show stars Adhir Kalyan, Parker Young, Elizabeth Alderfer, Dean Norris and Kelli Goss.
