ABC Passes on Black Don’t Crack, Bucktown and Acts of Crime

ABC has passed on comedy pilot Black Don't Crack. The pilot, executive produced by Viloa Davis and her husband Julius Tennon, centeeds on three former sorority sisters reuniting during a pivotal point in all of their lives. Sherri Shepherd, Tisha Campbell, Essence Atkins, Tahj Mowry and Beth Grant were set to star in the series.

ABC has also decided not to order comedy pilot Bucktown. The pilot centered on a woman who, after being dumped by her boyfriend and kicked out of her apartment, stays over at her mom's house, where she grew up. Her teenage niece also lives there, and she ultimately decides to move in full-time after realizeing that her mother and niece aren't equipped to be alone. Shannon Woodward, Jane Lynch, Nicole Richie, Erik Griffin and Annie Gonzalez starred in the pilot.

Drama series Acts of Crime, described as a unique spin on the crime procedural, has also been passed over by ABC. Candace Grace, Josiah Cross, Peter Mark Kendall and Molly Price will star in the series, which comes from Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail.
