The longest-running live-action comedy currently on TV will extend its run, as ABC has ordered a ninth season of The Goldbergs. The family comedy has been a strong part of ABC's schedule since it moved to Wednesdays in season two, following a weak first season. The series saw a large 26% decline from season seven, but was ABC's #1 comedy this season, averaging a 0.66 across the season. It was also the network's #3 scripted series this season overall. Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jeff Garlin, Sean Giambrone, Hayley Orrantia and Troy Gentile star in the series. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
