Call Me Kat Renewed by Fox

Fox is calling Kat, because they want her back for another season. The network has renewed freshman comedy Call Me Kat, their only new live-action comedy series this season. The show rated as Fox's #4 series this year, behind the 9-1-1s and The Simpsons. Kat was given an NFL lead-in for its premiere, an early sign that Fox was high on the show. It did decently there, and went on to have modest but acceptable ratings for the rest of its run, averaging 0.59 and staying essentially steady from its third episode onward. That steadiness is being rewarded with a second season pickup. Mayim Bialik stars in the series as the titular Kat alongside Leslie Jordan, Swoosie Kurtz, Cheyenne Jackson, Julian Gant and Kyla Pratt. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
