Singing series American Idol, now in its fourth ABC season, will be back for a fifth next year. It consistently rates as the top Sunday series with a 0.88 average this season. ABC has not yet annoucned whether host Ryan Seacrest and judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan will return for the season.
Shark Tank has been renewed for a fifth season. The business-oriented reality series has been a top performer for ABC on Friday nights, regularly winning the night for the network. It declined just 2% this season in the 18-49 demo and grew in viewers from last season. Lori Greiner, Mark Cuban, Kevin O'Leary, Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran and Robert Herjavec star in the series as the titular "sharks."
Game show Supermarket Sweep was a new addition to the ABC lineup this season. While it faded over the course of the season, its 0.7 average made it easily the top show in ABC's mostly unsuccessful Sunday lineup. Leslie Jones hosts the series.
America's Funniest Home Videos is one of the longest-running shows on the network, debuting in 1989 and entering its thirty-second season next year. Alfonso Ribeiro hosts the series, which averaged 0.67 in the rough Sunday 7 PM timeslot.
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, a spinoff of the iconic syndicated game show, was another freshman series for ABC. It was a big hit for the network, ranking as the #14 series on all of television in the 18-49 demo and ABC's #4 show. Wheel of Fortune hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White reprised their roles in the series.
