Hulu probably doesn’t need either of these shows to remain a high-profile streaming service. However, both have respectful audience demand multipliers, and would not be the least-demanded comedy or drama, respectfully, if renewed. Also, both are veteran shows, which are more likely than not to receive final season announcements for the purposes of giving them a good conclusion. This isn’t always the case if a show does abysmally, but based on these numbers, PEN15 and Into the Dark both deserve another season.
Shrill
Time will tell if Shrill’s audience demand will rise more now that new episodes are starting to be released. Either way, it appears to have always been a niche show with audience demand that is far from stellar, yet also renewable.
