Grey’s Anatomy Renewed for Season 18

ABC isn't ready to say goodbye to their #1 scripted series. Medical drama Grey's Anatomy has been renewed for an eighteenth season. This doesn't come as much of a shock, as ABC has reportedly been in contract negotiations with the show's stars, particularly lead actress Ellen Pompeo, for some time. The show has averaged 1.06 in the 18-49 demo for its current season thus far, and is one of just three scripted shows averaging above the 1.0 mark. Grey's is ABC's longest-running scripted show on their current lineup and will have aired 380 episodes by the end of the season, likely surpassing 400 episodes next season. Alongside Pompeo, the series also stars James Pickens Jr, Chandra Wilson, Kevin McKidd, Kim Raver, Jesse Williams, Caterina Scorsone and Kelly McCreary, and was created by Shonda Rhimes. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
