INT. CONVENTION CENTER HALLWAY - AFTERNOON

SUPER: PREVIOUSLY ON WRITER’S BLOCK...

Discouraged, Jack and Noah keep practicing the pitch to the script.

NOAH
Not one writer has shown interest in this script yet.

JACK
Give it time. Someone will notice.

A group of writers (WRITER #1, WRITER #2, WRITER #3) catch the eye of Noah and Jack.

WRITER #1
Hey, do you guys need any help with anything?

JACK
Just trying to pitch a script.

WRITER #2
We’re all ears.

WRITER #3
Give it a shot!

NOAH
Here goes nothing...we have a workplace comedy about a big family that works together.

The writers all nod.

BACK TO PRESENT EPISODE.

Writer #3 takes the script Jack and Noah hand out and reads it.

His eyes widen.

Then his mouth opens to a smile.

WRITER #3
I oughta tell the executives at ABC about this. This is great!

JACK
Seriously?

Jack’s jaw drops. Noah then takes a deep breath.

Writer #3 steps away to pick up the phone.

WRITER #3
Hey, I found this workplace comedy at the convention and this sounds pretty promising. You should check that out.

Jack and Noah then high five each other.

The rest of the writers read the script and laugh a few times at a few of the lines.

WRITER #2
This is so refreshing!

WRITER #1
Wait until it makes it to TV!

Writer #3 returns to the group after hanging up the phone.

WRITER #3
Pitch it! Pitch it as soon as possible!

They all shake hands.

INT. BUNKER - NIGHT

SUPER: HOURS LATER

Ed paces back and forth as he guards the bunker away from intruders.

Suddenly, the door opens to reveal Jack and Noah.

Ed becomes furious and his face turns red.

Jack and Noah shrugs.

ED
What are you doing here? I told you not to come back until you have convincing evidence.

JACK
Does an appointment with ABC work?

NOAH
And the fact that other writers have given us feedback on how to proceed with it?

Ed then shrugs.

He then takes a deep breath.

ED
I used to have many shows on ABC. Sit down.

Jack and Noah quickly prop into the sofa.

ED (CONT'D)
Now, what else happened?

NOAH
One of the writers in the test group during the conference called the executives about our script. Other writers also raved about it.

ED
That’s great. Look, I’m in. Now, let’s finish up this script!

Jack and Noah get up and follow Ed to the workplace table set up in the bunker.

Next week, we have a change in pace.
