INT. PRESIDENT'S OFFICE - DAY

SUPER: PREVIOUSLY ON NETWORK...

Jesse, Ash, and Charlie gather around Ash’s desk.

Ash gives out an ambivalent look.

ASH
(sternly)
What is this about a show moving networks?

CHARLIE
We’ve been hearing talk about Working as a Family for the past couple of days. Since before we got back from Los Angeles.

ASH
So, that’s what it’s all about. I got a confidential email about this from the president of DC Network.

JESSE
Noah, one of the writers, talked to me this morning.

ASH
Oh, he heard about this too?

JESSE
Only on a limited scale. A premonition.

ASH
Guys, we don’t need to spread this further. I’m the one who knows more about this, and even I’m limited to what I know.

CHARLIE
Problem is, a tabloid leaked it.

ASH
Let me see that.

He snatches Charlie’s phone and reads from it.

ASH (CONT'D)
I’m going to take care of this. You may now go back to your offices. And Charlie, here’s your phone back.

Ash hands Charlie’s phone back to her.

Charlie puts the phone back in her purse as she and Jesse exit the office.

The door closes.

BACK TO PRESENT EPISODE.

INT. CONFERENCE ROOM - DAY

That same day, we find out that another show has been in the talking points.

Charlie is visibly frustrated.

Kasey then enters the scene.

She then pauses, after seeing Charlie seething with fury.

KASEY
What’s going on here?

No response.

Charlie then begins to pace back and forth.

Then with a cup of coffee in her hand, she sits down.

KASEY (CONT'D)
Charlie?

CHARLIE
What exactly do you want?

KASEY
We found news about some shows moving networks.

Charlie’s eyes widen as she processes the information.

CHARLIE
I thought Ash was going to send a cease and desist. If you are talking about Working as a Family, then news shouldn’t be spread further.

Jesse then walks into the conference room, followed by Leah, Matt, and Ash.

ASH
Pilots are here! Let’s discuss!

The gang then gathers together on the conference table.

CHARLIE
Bar Exam looks good. 5666 looks great. But why is there a script for Writer’s Block when there’s already a show on Peafowl about the lives of writers and producers?

ASH
Surprise. That is the show I had on embargo.

CHARLIE
Are you serious?

MATT
What’s wrong, Charlie?

CHARLIE
As a writer, I take great offense to that show on the air on our network. I know it’s such a critical darling and all that other stuff, but it is based on the lives of two male writers. Believe me. I’ve watched the show.

ASH
Are they based on the writers of sitcoms, perchance?

CHARLIE
If you’re talking about Jack and Noah, possibly.

Kasey and Jesse both gasp.

Holly then walks into the conference room.

HOLLY
Ash, there is someone here to see you for a pitching thing.

ASH
Bring em in!

Mike then enters the scene as he steps into the conference room.

Everyone gasps.
