INT. ELEVATOR - DAY

SUPER: ONE WEEK LATER

Today, Leah is feeling a bit better after falling ill in the previous episode.

She is at network headquarters.

LEAH
This could be my last day of work for a while as long as this pandemic lasts.

The door then opens. Kasey then gets in.

Leah holds her breath.

Kasey timidly looks at Leah.

KASEY
How are you holding up?

LEAH
As to be expected.

KASEY
That’s good, at least. Sorry I’m making this awkward.

Leah sighs.

LEAH
Do you realize we’re supposed to be at least six feet apart?

KASEY
I’m aware of that.

LEAH
Impossible with a small elevator.

KASEY
You know, I’ve accepted a writing position on Jack and Noah’s sitcom.

LEAH
What? How come I didn’t even know about this?

KASEY
Let’s just say it’s been developing for a while.

The elevator gets up to the second floor before Kasey and Leah exit into the hallway.

INT. BUSINESS HALLWAY - DAY

Keeping their distance at six feet apart, Leah and Kasey each walk towards the conference room.

Once they hit the outside of the conference room, Leah then turns towards Kasey.

LEAH
I also have some news. I’m pregnant.

Kasey’s eyes beam with excitement.

KASEY
Oh my God, that’s awesome! Wish I could hug you but I can’t.

LEAH
You do realize I tested negative for COVID-19, right?

Ash enters the conference room.

ASH
You heard it first.

KASEY
Ash!?!

ASH
Yep, it’s me.

KASEY
I thought we’re supposed to work from home.

ASH
We are. But Leah is getting her things.

LEAH
I’ll be leaving the network too.

ASH
Too?

KASEY
I actually got a job as a writer on Jack and Noah’s show that’s moving to the network.

ASH
That’s wonderful! And you get to keep your ties at the network while fulfilling a role you always wanted to play.

Kasey and Ash bump fists.

INT. JESSE'S APARTMENT LIVING ROOM - DAY

Back at Jesse’s apartment, Jesse is still putting files together for pilot season.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

Jesse puts his laptop down and heads to the door.

The door opens to reveal Charlie.

Charlie quickly embraces Jesse.

Jesse then gently pushes back.

CHARLIE
I’m sorry.

JESSE
Do you really have to apologize right now? I mean, I was not expecting you to be here.

CHARLIE
Well, here we are.

Charlie then closes the door behind her after she enters the apartment.

JESSE
Charlie, if this is important, then sit down.

CHARLIE
It is important. I want to talk about us. But I want to ask you how you are feeling.

Jesse faces towards Charlie.

They then sit together on the couch.

JESSE
I’m…

CHARLIE
Take a moment. Breathe for a bit. I’m all ears.

JESSE
I know we’re supposed to be in quarantine separate from each other but...I wanted to tell you something on my mind for a while.

CHARLIE
For a while?

JESSE
Since the time we spent the night together at the hotel.

Charlie sighs.

JESSE (CONT’D)
I wanted to tell you I love you.

Charlie turns to look at Jesse.

CHARLIE
Jesse...why didn't you tell me this before?

JESSE
Because, Charlie! I did not want to end up making the same mistake again, like I once did. We fought like hell at work and back, but you made me realize something.

CHARLIE
What do you even mean?

JESSE
Charlie, I don't want to spend another moment, not even another day without you.

Charlie smiles. Then Jesse puts his arm around her.

CHARLIE
Well, I guess it’s official now.

Jesse sighs.

JESSE
Yep.

And that concludes our third season of Network! See you next season!
