FOX Renew/Cancel: Once Again, The Resident Makes the Headline

The Resident: I'm pretty sure we all know why The Resident is in the headline. All season long, TVRG has gone back and forth between renewal and cancelation. But let's make a case for renewal today. Case in point, this gem of a tweet.

Now this may be a false alarm and this is what FOX does even to shows leaning towards cancelation, but does that sound like a network teasing a renewal? Or is that false hope? Even then, a renewal will put the ownership debate to rest until next season. The Resident leans towards renewal. Thanks, COVID-19.

9-1-1: Lone Star: At the end of 9-1-1: Lone Star's finale, there was a "stay tuned for all new episodes coming soon" promo. Meaning it may have gotten the How to Get Away with Murder treatment with a silent renewal. But as I've learned with Almost Family, nothing is official until it's official, so it remains a certain renewal for now. Just like with Family Guy and Bob's Burgers.
