Taken Renewed By NBC

NBC

NBC has taken a gamble. The peacock network has renewed Taken for a sixteen-episode second season. The series started off with a respectable 1.6 in the 18-49 ratings but quickly fell from there. The finale clocked in with just a 0.8, down 50% from its premiere. Overall, the drama averaged a 1.00. That's definitely not strong enough for NBC, especially since it was given The Voice as a lead-in, but the series performed much better internationally, that might have helped save the series. Based on the famous film trilogy, Clive Standen takes over the role of Bryan Mills from Liam Neeson for this series. The series focuses on Mills overcoming tragedy and ultimately taking revenge while also taking on a career as a special intelligence operative.  Season two will feature a new showrunner.
