And it begins! NBC has picked up Rise and The Brave (fka For God and Country) for the 2017-18 season. Early pick-ups seem to be a sign of confidence, so don't be surprised if one or both of these shows get the coveted post-Voice time slots in the fall. The Brave is a military drama that focuses on the brave citizens who fight in the military and their experiences, while Rise is set in a high school drama department in a lower-class district.
