One of TV's longest-running comedies, The Goldbergs, will extend its run to a milestone tenth season. The ABC comedy has long been a keystone of the Wednesday night lineup, airing as the 8 PM anchor since The Middle's 2016 departure from the lineup. Though its ratings have seen a marked decline in recent season, The Goldbergs remains ABC's #1 comedy, this season averaging 0.57 in the key 18-49 demographic. The show was the subject of controversy this season amid the surprising firing of longtime leading actor Jeff Garlin, due to alleged misconduct on the set. Garlin's ouster left the show's fate looking at least vulnerable, but ratings have more or less remained steady without him, and allowing the show to move on. Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia and Sam Lerner comprise the show's leading cast. This is a correct prediction for the TV Ratings Guide.
