Ratings Analysis: Though it failed to pull off the type of surge that 'The Oscars' managed just one week prior, the 64th Annual Grammy Awards (2.24) dipped by just 2% when compared to the 2021 ceremony (2.28) in the Adults 18-49 demographic. In terms of total viewers, this edition of the 'Grammys' actually rose by a good bit from the previous year (9.58 million viewers vs. 9.23 million). CBS preceded the musical telecast with a sinking edition of newsmagazine staple '60 Minutes' (0.53, -0.44). Despite facing off against the Grammy Awards, ABC's 'American Idol' (0.65) matched what it posted two weeks ago. On the other hand, 'America's Funniest Home Videos' (0.59, -0.02) and recently-renewed 'The Rookie' (0.35, -0.03) had a few hundredths stripped away from them at 7 and 10 respectively. Sandwiched in-between a rerun of 'American Song Contest' (0.18) and a stable 'Transplant' (0.15), NBC's 'Weakest Link' (0.20, -0.03) dipped to its lowest rating to date. Fox aired repeats of 'The Simpsons' (0.30/0.28), 'Bob's Burgers' (0.24/0.21), 'The Great North' (0.19), and 'Family Guy' (0.22).
