Saturday TV Ratings 4/16/22: SNL Inches Down, NBA Leads, USFL Debut Modest (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: The Lizzo-hosted episode of 'Saturday Night Live' (0.84, -0.01) shed a single hundredth when compared to the previous week. Earlier in the evening, the NBC broadcast of the 'Generals v. Stallions' USFL Football match (0.23) was a full tenth below the Fox telecast (0.33). ABC's 'NBA Countdown' (0.21) made little noise at 8 but the 'Nuggets v. Warriors' game (1.33) was the top broadcast of the night. CBS's '48 Hours' (0.31, +0.03) picked up three-hundredths despite airing behind reruns of 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.19) and itself (0.26). On the CW, 'Would I Lie To You?' (0.05, -0.04) and 'Masters of Illusion' (0.03, -0.05) crumbled after semi-decent debuts. The 8PM 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' rerun (0.06) bested both while the 9:30PM 'Masters of Illusion' encore (0.04) beat out the 9PM original.

Finals Update: 'NBA: Nuggets v. Warriors' (+0.5), 'USFL Football' on Fox (+0.1), and the repeat of '48 Hours' (+0.1) adjusted up. 'NBA Countdown' (-0.3) adjusted down.
