Amazon Cancels One Mississippi, Jean-Claude Van Johnson, and I Love Dick

Amazon today cleaned house somewhat, canceling three of the streaming service's half-hour original programs. Comedy-dramas I Love Dick, One Mississippi, and Jean-Claude Van Johnson have all been canceled.

One Mississippi released two seasons on Amazon, the first in 2016, and the second on September 8, 2017. The series starred comedian Tig Notaro as a fictionalized version of herself, and its producers included Louis C.K, who Notaro has made clear was not involved with the series and would not be credited in future seasons. I Love Dick and Jean-Claude Van Johnson both only lasted one season. I Love Dick had its episodes released on May 12, 2017, and Jean-Claude Van Johnson had its episodes released on December 15, 2017. I Love Dick starred Kevin Bacon as its title character, and Jean-Claude starred Jean-Claude Van Damme as its title character, a fictionalized version of himself.

Two out of three of these cancelations (One Mississippi and I Love Dick) were correct predictions for The TV Ratings Guide in its first streaming renew/cancel article. That article can be read here. The fates of Comerade Detective and Lore are still yet to be announced.
