CW Ditches Live + Same Day Ratings

The Ratings Junkie Friday, April 01, 2016
The CW is next in line to say that they will no longer be using Live + Same Day Nielsen ratings. They've decided to shift over to the Live + 30 ratings, which they say shows a much more telling
picture of the actual ratings. For example, in Live + 30 their show Jane the Virgin goes all the way up to a 0.5 A18-49 rating.

But that's not all; The CW appears to be shifting gears entirely into a new ratings metric system. Part of their new system will be based on Disqus comment board counts from TV and TV ratings related website. With those numbers in mind, The CW has released new ratings for the most recent episodes of select shows:

The 100: 3.7
Legends of Tomorrow: 2.9
Jane the Virgin: 2.1
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: 1.8

No wonder they renewed all their shows, turns out they're actually far and away the most popular network!
