Sunday TV Ratings 5/18/25: Bob’s Burgers Returns with a Series Low, The Simpsons Also Hits New Low for Finale, American Idol Ends on a Season High [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: After months off the air, Fox brought Bob's Burgers (0.15, -0.22) back for a one-off Sunday showing before its move to Thursday nights. Naturally, the long-running cartoon crashed to a new low, but Bob's still beat the Krapopolis finale (0.11, -0.04) that led into it. Earlier in the night, The Simpsons (0.13, -0.04) dropped to a new series low for its finale, while Family Guy (0.19, -0.01) dipped slightly. On ABC, American Idol (0.72, +0.10) picked up a tenth on finale night, while Funniest Home Videos (0.46, -0.04) declined. 60 Minutes (0.49, +0.10) also gained a tenth on CBS. Ratings Analysis: The Voice (0.21, -0.03) went even lower on NBC, with the former juggernaut losing to CBS's Price Is Right At Night (0.23). Yes, Chef! (0.12, -0.04) also lost a few ticks. American Idol (0.43, +0.04) and Paradise (0.13, +0.03) beat their week-ago installments on ABC. America's Most Wanted: Missing Persons (0.12, -0.02) was down for its Fox finale, but the original America's Most Wanted (0.14, +0.04) gained momentum. Sunday TV Ratings 5/11/25: Watson Declines for Season Finale as Tracker Soars, Suits LA Dips After Cancellation, The Last Of Us Also Down [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: Though 60 Minutes (0.39, -0.04) declined, CBS drama Tracker (0.50, +0.12) soared for its season finale. Watson (0.24, -0.02), however, dipped at nine. America's Funniest Home Videos (0.50, +0.08) and American Idol (0.62, +0.05) rose on ABC, but The $100,000 Pyramid (0.19, -0.01) ticked down. NBC's Suits LA (0.12, -0.02) also slipped. On Fox, The Simpsons (0.17, +0.02), Family Guy (0.20, +0.01), Krapopolis (0.15, +0.04), and The Great North (0.15, +0.04) were all up. American Idol, Shark Tank, Celebrity Jeopardy!, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and America’s Funniest Home Videos Renewed by ABC

ABC has renewed five of their veteran reality series for next season. American Idol, America's Funniest Home Videos, Celebrity Jeopardy!, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Shark Tank will all be back next season on ABC. American Idol is among the top series on TV, with a strong 0.51 average as it welcomed new judge (and former winner) Carrie Underwood to the panel, replacing Katy Perry. That's down just 2% from last season. America's Funniest Home Videos has also had an incredible spring, with several ratings at or above the 0.5 mark in this part of the season, and a 0.36 average for the season overall. Shark Tank remains a reliable Friday night player, averaging 0.27 in the key demo. One of the titular sharks, Mark Cuban, has already been announced to be exiting the series after the current series. Celebrity game shows Celebrity Jeopardy! and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune have both had more modest showings this season, after solid starts. Celebrity Jeopardy! averaged 0.26 on Wednesday nights, down a staggering 42%. Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has aired just three episodes thus far, but averages 0.30 so far after a precipitous drop this week, though that is a smaller year-to-year drop than Celebrity Jeopardy! saw this season. The series will also lose a longtime star, as iconic host Pat Sajak exits the series, a year after he left the long-running syndicated civilian version. All but Celebrity Wheel of Fortune are correct predictions for The TV Ratings Guide, that show having been renewed before a prediction was established for the show.

Monday TV Ratings 5/5/25: The Neighborhood Slips for Finale, The Voice Drops Even Lower, Yes, Chef! Rises [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: The Neighborhood (0.29/0.30) was down a touch from last week (0.31) on CBS, and NCIS (0.31, -0.03) also declined for its season finale. On NBC, The Voice (0.24, -0.02) could not stop the bleeding, but Yes, Chef! (0.16, +0.02) looked a little better than it did on premiere night. American Idol (0.39, -0.06) fell behind last Monday's installment, while Paradise held steady at 0.10. America's Most Wanted: Missing Persons (0.14, -0.02) and America's Most Wanted (0.10, -0.03) slipped on Fox. All American (0.05, -0.01) inched down for its CW finale. Key: (R) = repeat. (F) = finale.
