NBC Greenlights Golden Girls Revival, Schedules in Prime Saturday Timeslot

It has been 28 years since The Golden Girls left NBC, and Saturday evenings never recovered.  On the dust and tail end of the revival trend, NBC announced The Golden Girls is returning, starring 98-year old Betty White.  Rose Nylund (White) will return to her lovely home and will banter with her gal pals.  But how?  Estelle Getty passed in 2007, Bea Arthur in 2009 and Rue McClanahan in 2010.  (And of course all haven't made statements in some time).  NBC knows its limitations, and has opted to cast three urns in their place.  Every episode will feature Rose conversing and arguing with three urns though the usual hijinks and mishaps.

NBC may not be able to raise the dead, but can they raise a dead night for scheduling?  Tune in for Golden Girls' premiere on September 31, 2020 on NBC. (Or check today's calendar and ask why NBC would revive a dead series such as this)
