ABC has ordered a fourth season of their revival of reality singing competition American Idol. The series has been a strong and reliable ratings performer for ABC since reviving it, giving ABC easy wins on Sunday nights making the night one of the network's highest-rated of the week. It has not yet been revealed which, if any, of the show's judges would return, or if host Ryan Seacrest would, either. The current judging panel consists of Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan, who have sat at the panel since ABC brought the show back. In its current, third season, the show's Sunday airings averages1.24, a small 5% decline year-to-year. Its Monday broadcasts, which were fewer in number this year average 1.28, a 9% rise.
This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
