ABC is leaving the 90s behind this season. Schooled joins fellow comedy Fresh Off the Boat' as the second series set in the 1990s to be axed by the network this year. The show's retention from its parent series was so-so this season after a strong start last year, declining 29% in season two, more than the already-steep 27% decline from The Goldbergs. While it was the #4 ABC comedy this season, it wasn't enough for the unowned comedy to be renewed. AJ Michalka, Bryan Callen, Tim Meadows, Brett Dier and Haneefah Wood star in the series, while Ana Gasteyer, Stephen Tobolowsky, Clancy Brown and Sean Marquette all reprise their recurring roles from The Goldbergs.
