Fox wisely used that massive lead-in juice on the series debut of summer competition program 'Ultimate Tag' (1.3). 'Tag' got off to a robust start, comfortably outperforming last week's episode of 'After the Mask' (0.8) and a notch above the finale of 'Lego Masters' (1.2). While it will be tough for the series to maintain this level of prosperity without the huge assistance of 'The Masked Singer', this goes down as a pretty successful launch.
The remaining networks made far less noise. Leading out of repeats of 'NCIS' and 'FBI', the season finale of 'S.W.A.T' (0.6) lost a tenth from its last episode. Meanwhile, ABC's presentation of the 2016 film 'Moana' (0.7) was the strongest non-Fox program of the night. The animated flick led into a repeat of 'Holey Moley' (0.5) that matched a few of its summer 2019 originals. NBC had a set of 'Chicago' repeats (0.4/0.4/0.4) and The CW housed the debut of the finale season of 'The 100' (0.2). It was a tenth below its previous season premiere but steady with its finale. The netlet capped the night with a 'Bulletproof' repeat (0.1).
Finals Update: All shows held their preliminary ratings.
