Fresh Off the Boat S2E22 Review

Vulture
Despite the craziness of this week, I finally got a chance to watch Fresh Off the Boat. Here is what I thought.

S2E22 "Gotta Be Me"

At the start of the episode, Louis goes to rent movies, and discovers there are movies someone in his family rented, and Louis discovers that Jessica rented them. He goes to Marvin for advice, and he says to act like a guy from an action movie. Louis hilariously does this, but it turns out that the movies are not Jessica's, they are Emory's. Meanwhile, Jessica discovers that Eddie's class is going to a site for colonial America, and she decides to go along because she loves the colonials.

Emory tells Louis that he is having trouble getting along with his friends, so Louis gives him advice, but that advice leads to Emory getting in a fight. It is pretty funny when Louis assumes that Eddie was the one who got in a fight. Jessica becomes a fun mom on the field trip. This makes Eddie angry, because his mom was never a fun mom before.

Louis talks to Grandma Huang, and he discovers that while Louis changes who he is based on the people he is around, Emory is like his mother. Eddie realizes that Jessica isn't fun at home because Eddie is having all the fun, so he gets ready himself one morning, and that gives them thirty minutes spare time, in which Eddie and Jessica play video games, which is hilarious.

This was a really good episode. It wasn't filled with laughs, but it was entertaining.
