Houdini & Doyle: I'm getting off to a tricky start. What does this show have going for it? It's a British show! That makes it much cheaper for FOX to air it. But, as Welcome to Sweden proved on NBC last year, even international shows can get canceled with low enough ratings, and the ratings for this show are low. It premiered to a 0.7, dipped to a 0.6 last week, and then went back up to 0.7 this week. I think that those ratings are low enough that it won't be back next year.
Wayward Pines: Coming up this week is the second season premiere of Wayward Pines. Last summer, it averaged a 1.1 rating, and was renewed. It got great DVR numbers, which could mean it does well this summer as well, but the new cast and the fact that it was intended to be a one-season series may result in viewers of season one not returning. This could be an interesting one.
