Sunday TV Ratings 3/17/24: Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade Draws Highest Rating Since 2020, American Idol and Tracker Drop, The Equalizer Rises (Final Ratings w/Analysis)

Ratings Analysis: Fox's Easter-themed special Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade (0.20) was up markedly from last year's broadcast (0.15) in its first 8 p.m. airing and was only a bit below the last Simpsons original (0.21). At 8:30, Krapopolis (0.15, +0.01) was up by a hundredth from its March 3rd episode. From there, The Great North (0.13, -0.08) crashed back down to Earth after being boosted by a special Bob's Burgers last week. Despite that, Grimsburg (0.13, +0.01) actually picked up a hundredth at 9:30. ABC was down across the board as America's Funniest Home Videos (0.48, -0.05), American Idol (0.50, -0.12), and What Would You Do? (0.27, -0.07) all dropped after taking a week off for the Oscars. CBS's basketball-inflated 60 Minutes (0.67) helped The Equalizer (0.47, +0.05) grow a good bit, but Tracker (0.47, -0.03) and CSI: Vegas (0.31, -0.01) dipped. NBC re-ran Password (0.19), The Voice (0.18), and Dateline (0.17) after ending their weekly Harry Potter showings prematurely. The CW aired 2000 film Erin Brockovich (0.06).
