Thursday TV Ratings 3/21/24: March Madness Soars Over 2023 Opening Games, 9-1-1 and Grey’s Anatomy Drop in Week 2, SVU Sinks to New Low (Final Ratings w/Analysis)


Ratings Analysis: CBS's March Madness coverage (1.50/1.26) soared past 2023's opener (0.80/0.88) and led the network to a clear victory in the Adults 18-49 demographic. On ABC, 9-1-1 (0.52, -0.08), Grey's Anatomy (0.47, -0.09), and Station 19 (0.32, -0.05) all experienced some steep declines in week two, with Grey's nearly losing a full tenth. Law & Order (0.31, -0.06) and SVU (0.35, -0.10) crashed to new series lows on NBC, while Organized Crime (0.28, +0.01) actually ticked up at 10. Next Level Chef (0.29, 0.00) held even on Fox and led into a Kate Middleton-themed TMZ Investigates (0.17). The CW had a double-pump of Conners (0.05/0.04) and two helpings of Critch (0.04/0.04).
