SAM
You really want that? Their new product rollout is a disaster. We might have to just deny the endorsement after all.
ADAM
Actually, some people are coming around on it now that it’s been a victim of cancel culture.
SAM
It’s a friggin candy bar that was just released that nobody ever liked, it’s not a victim of cancel culture.
MADISON
I liked it. By the way, nice endorsement of us Lincoln. I don’t know if it did anything, but the words were kind.
LINCOLN

REAGAN

LORENZO

ADAM turns on the TV. They find the channel just in time to watch FRED’s endorsement.

FRED looks down.
FRED
Chase, Adam, Madison, Reagan, and Sam.
FRED

The segment ends. ADAM shuts off the TV.
ADAM

SAM
A terrible endorsement. Also, he thinks we’re actually popular?
LINCOLN
He didn’t even endorse me! Now it looks like the person who SugarCity didn’t endorse, endorsed you all.
SAM
It doesn’t look like that. That actually happened.
MADISON
Also, he clearly did not remember our names. Other than Lorenzo’s, of course. Did you see him looking down the whole time he was saying our names?
REAGAN
I’m calling the race. It’s over. We’re all losing. Lorenzo and Lincoln included.
LORENZO
Well it was nice knowing you all.
REAGAN
Whoa! We can still see each other.
LORENZO
How? I’m not a lawyer, I sold Lorenzo’s Kitchen, and we won’t be in Congress anymore.
LINCOLN
Maybe there’s still a chance.
SAM

ADAM

SAM

ADAM

SAM

ADAM
They hate SugarCity corporate now, though. Who just endorsed us.
LORENZO
Well then, I think the consensus is some people are gonna hate us and other people are gonna like us. We just need to hope more people who like us vote than people who don’t like us.
LINCOLN
Yeah, that’s kinda how elections work.
ADAM
